The flight carrying coach Kim Sang-sik and his team landed at Incheon International Airport at 4:35 pm (local time). According to information from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), entry procedures took place smoothly thanks to the coordination between VFF and local organizers.
In Korea, the Vietnamese team stays at a hotel located near the training area, creating favorable conditions for travel and living. Accommodation conditions are arranged according to standards for national teams to help players have the best preparation during the training period.
After completing room check-in procedures, the whole team will have dinner and rest to recover physically after the journey. The team's first training session will take place on the afternoon of July 3.
According to the plan, the Vietnamese national team will train in Korea until July 14. During this time, the team will play three friendly matches with increasingly leveled opponents to assess the force and improve expertise.
Specifically, coach Kim Sang-sik and his team will meet Siheung FC (K.League 3) on July 5, Yongin FC (K.League 2) on July 8 and Gangwon FC (K.League 1) on July 13.
This is considered an important stage for the coaching staff to continue reviewing the force, assessing the performance of each player as well as completing tactical plans before the team returns home.
After the training trip in Korea, the Vietnamese national team will have an international friendly match with Myanmar on July 18 before entering the journey to defend the ASEAN Cup 2026 championship.
