According to coach Kim Sang-sik, the coaching staff will continue to improve professional plans before entering the ASEAN Cup 2026.
We will prepare many different options for the players to best develop their abilities at the ASEAN Cup. The team will continue to adjust in terms of fitness as well as tactics to have the best performance," he said.
Referring to the condition of striker Xuan Son after this player showed pain at the end of the match, coach Kim Sang-sik said: "Xuan Son played for about 80 minutes and had a little pain. Tomorrow we will check to determine if there is a injury problem or not".
In this match, Dinh Bac came on as a substitute and at one point showed dissatisfaction after a coordination situation with Xuan Son. Answering about this issue, Mr. Kim Sang-sik said that it was a positive manifestation of the fighting spirit.
When entering the field, the players all want to fight their best. That's a good thing. When entering the tournament, we will build suitable combinations for the whole team to play more effectively," he said.
Assessing the role of the trio of naturalized players including Xuan Son, Tai Loc and Hoang Hen, the 49-year-old strategist affirmed that these are factors that help elevate the strength of the Vietnamese team.

Besides, the Korean coach also praised Dinh Bac when this player was tested in the winger position.
Today Dinh Bac entered the field as a winger. We have also tested this option during the training trip in Korea. Bac has performed very well and is capable enough to play at any time, even in the starting lineup. We will continue to find the best combinations for the players to connect with each other at the ASEAN Cup," he said.
