In this match, coach Okiyama made some tactical changes. Nguyen Thi Linh Chi was pushed up to play in the midfielder position, combined with defender Ngo Hai Yen and central defender Truong Thi Thao Nguyen on the left wing. In attack, Trinh Yen Nhi was the first female striker.
Vietnam U16 women's team entered the match confidently despite great pressure from the Indonesian audience. On the 11m mark, the U16 Vietnamese women's players competed bravely and won 7-6, thereby closing the tournament in 3rd place.
