On July 16, at the headquarters of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), AFC held a draw ceremony for the group stage of the 2027 AFC U17 Women's Asian Cup qualifiers. The qualifying round will take place from October 5 to 11. 2026.
According to the draw results, the Vietnam U17 women's team fell into Group D with Kyrgyzstan, Palestine and the Northern Mariana Islands. With home advantage, the coaching staff of the Vietnam U17 women's team is expected to compete for a ticket to participate in the final round.
In other groups, Group A includes South Korea, Jordan, Tajikistan (host) and UAE. Group B includes Indonesia, Singapore (host), Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Group C includes Taiwan (China), Iran, Laos (host) and Cambodia.

Group E includes India, Malaysia (host), Syria and Iraq. Group F includes Thailand (host), Lebanon, Macau (China) and Bhutan. Group G is a competition between Myanmar (host), Hong Kong (China) and Guam. Meanwhile, Group H includes the Philippines, Bangladesh and Uzbekistan (host).
The 2027 AFC U17 Women's Asian Cup qualifiers have 30 participating teams, an increase of 2 teams compared to the 2019 qualifying round. The teams are divided into 8 groups, including 6 groups with 4 teams and 2 groups with 3 teams, competing in a single round-robin format.
The top team in each group will win the right to participate in the final round, along with 4 teams that have direct tickets thanks to their achievements in the semi-finals of the 2026 AFC U17 Women's Championship including North Korea, Japan, Australia and China.
The final round of the 2027 AFC U17 Women's Championship is scheduled to take place in China from March 31st to April 17th, 2027. The four teams with the highest achievements will win the right to represent Asia to participate in the 2027 Women's U17 World Cup.
