The team's training session is scheduled at late hours to help players gradually adapt to the evening schedule and competition - the time when the next matches of the tournament take place.
In this training session, the coaching staff divided the team into two groups to ensure appropriate exercise volume. The group of players who played a lot in the previous match mainly performed recovery exercises such as relaxation and stretching to regenerate strength. The remaining group continued to practice professional content, focusing on perfecting techniques and tactics and organizing the squad towards the next match.
According to the schedule, the Vietnam U20 women's team will meet the host team U20 women's Thailand at 8:00 PM on April 4. This is predicted to be a challenging match as the opponent has home advantage and the cheers of the audience.
Assessing the upcoming match, head coach Okiyama Masahiko said: "The home team's advantages in the upcoming match are many, from the weather, spectators, getting used to the field, favorable playing time. Those are the home team's advantages when they are favorable in all aspects. We will proceed to recover well, ensuring the players' fitness to play in the next match against Thailand.
In the coming days, the coaching staff will continue to maintain the focus for the whole team, while strengthening recovery exercises and preparing tactical plans, aiming for positive results against Thailand U20 women's team.
