Speaking to direct at the ceremony, General Phan Van Giang - Member of the Politburo, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense - affirmed that the Commendation Ceremony is an important event, contributing to strongly spreading the spirit of emulation and aspiration to contribute in the army youth.
On behalf of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, General Phan Van Giang warmly congratulated and praised the outstanding achievements and contributions of 10 typical young faces and 80 promising young faces of the entire army in 2025.
Emphasizing the tasks in the new period, General Phan Van Giang requested that the youth of the entire army thoroughly grasp and effectively implement the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress, the strategic Resolutions of the Politburo, and the Resolution of the 12th Party Congress of the Army;
Strictly implementing the direction of General Secretary To Lam, Secretary of the Central Military Commission on "2 steadfastness, 2 promoting, 2 preventing", the motto "5 solid"; associated with the theme of 2026 of the Central Military Commission "determination to research and produce advanced and modern weapons and equipment" and the content "2 shocks, 2 readiness", creating clear changes in task implementation.
In particular, General Phan Van Giang requested Party committees and commanders at all levels to lead and direct the youth of the entire army to thoroughly grasp and well implement the action motto with 16 "key words": "Aspiration to contribute - Pioneering creativity - Courageous dedication - Spreading examples".
Accordingly, each cadre and youth union member needs to nurture ideals and aspirations to rise up; constantly innovate thinking, master science and technology, digital transformation; be ready to receive and successfully complete difficult tasks and new tasks; and at the same time actively spread good models and effective ways of working, contributing to building a solid environment for training, dedication and growth.

General Phan Van Giang also requested Party committees and commanders at all levels to continue to pay attention to leadership, create favorable conditions for young people to develop their abilities; boldly assign difficult tasks and new tasks; promptly discover, nurture, and value young talents; consider investing in young people as investing in the long-term future of the Army and the country.
In 2025, the work of voting for Typical Young Faces and Promising Young Faces of the entire army was implemented closely, democratically, and objectively; through many rounds of consideration, 10 Typical Young Faces and 80 Promising Young Faces who are truly outstanding in fields such as:
Training, combat readiness, education and training; fighting to protect national security, combat cross-border crime; scientific and technological research; labor production, business; Party work, political work; physical education, sports... These are individuals with outstanding achievements, achieving emulation titles for many consecutive years, typical of the will to strive and the aspiration to contribute of the army youth.
