U22 Vietnam leaves for China to attend the Panda Cup 2025

On the morning of November 10, the first group of the Vietnam U22 team (formerly U23) left for China to participate in the Panda Cup 2025 friendly tournament.

According to the plan, at 5:30 a.m. on November 10, 12 players and the coaching staff will travel from Hanoi to Noi Bai airport to depart for Chengdu ( out of Sichuan province, China). This group includes goalkeeper Cao Van Binh, defenders Vo Anh Quan, Nguyen Hieu Minh, Dang Tuan Phong, Nguyen Anh, Nguyen Nhat Minh; midfielders Nguyen Xuan Bac, Khuat Van Khang, Nguyen Cong Phuong, Nguyen Phi Hoang and two strikers Nguyen Thanh Nhan, Bui Vi Hao.

Due to the same V.League schedule, many players from Hanoi clubs, Hanoi Police, Nam Dinh and Ha Tinh will leave later, after completing round 11 on the evening of November 10.

Head coach Kim Sang-sik did not go to China with the team but stayed to work with the Vietnam team, preparing for the match against Laos in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers on November 19. The U22 Vietnam team in this trip will be led by assistants in the coaching staff.

According to the match schedule, U22 Vietnam will meet U23 China (November 12), U23 Uzbekistan (November 15) and U23 Korea (November 18). After the Panda Cup ends, the team will return home for a short break before continuing training in Ba Ria ward from November 23 to 29. After that, the team will travel to Thailand in early December to participate in the 33rd SEA Games.
