According to Lao Dong's investigation, up to this point, all athletes who won medals at SEA Games 33 have been rewarded on their personal accounts according to the announced regulations.
At the end of SEA Games 33 in December last year, the Vietnamese sports delegation won 87 gold medals, 81 silver medals and 110 bronze medals.
Because the end of the competition program is in 2025, achievements still enjoy the commendation regime according to Decree 152/2018/ND-CP (November 7, 2018) stipulating a number of regimes for coaches and athletes during the training and competition period.
Under this Decree, athletes are rewarded 45 million VND/gold medal, 25 million VND/silver medal and 20 million VND/bronze medal. Each SEA Games record is awarded an additional 20 million VND.
The bonus payment is carried out by transfer to an account provided by the athlete to the finance and accounting department. It is known that the total bonus according to regulations for SEA Games 33 achievements is more than 31 billion VND. In which, athletes receive 20.9 billion VND; coaches receive 10.755 billion VND.
Previously, athletes who achieved SEA Games 33 achievements also received hot prizes with levels of 10 million VND, 5 million VND and 3 million VND respectively for each gold medal, silver medal and bronze medal.
