Ahead of the Hoa Lu - Binh Dien Cup 2025, Hanoi women's club has reached an agreement with LPB Ninh Binh, allowing Bui Thi Anh Thao and Vi Thi Yen Nhi to play for the ancient capital team.
The two young athletes have been practicing with LPB Ninh Binh for nearly a month, showing harmony and catching up very quickly. Coach Thai Thanh Tung also highly appreciated the abilities of Anh Thao and Yen Nhi, partly helping his team feel more secure about personnel work.
On the second day of competition at the Hoa Lu Cup, LPB Ninh Binh won a dramatic 3-2 victory over the Information Corps, thereby winning a ticket to the semi-finals. Notably, Yen Nhi was given the opportunity to play and had a stable performance.
"The opponent of the Information Corps played faster and broke through better, so LPB Ninh Binh had some difficulties. Anyway, the whole team won so we are very happy and ready for the next matches," Yen Nhi said.

The female athlete born in 2003 added: "This is not the first time I have played for Ninh Binh, the team's playing style has been familiar with the moves and attacks, so there are not many obstacles to integrating. In the team, Bich Tuyen is still an important player and the main scorer".
At the Hoa Lu Cup 2025, Yen Nhi has the opportunity to compete with experienced players, national players such as Nguyet Anh, Kieu Trinh, Lam Oanh, Nguyen Uyen, Thanh Thuy, or further away, Ngoc Hoa, Tra Giang...
"I have a little mentality when competing in big tournaments, along with experienced seniors. But this is also an opportunity for me to learn, accumulate, rub shoulders and mature myself," Yen Nhi emphasized.
Vi Thi Yen Nhi is 1m78 tall and is considered by experts to be one of the most promising young setters of Vietnamese women's volleyball at present.
