VFF presents gifts to football teams on the occasion of National Day 2.9

General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Nguyen Van Phu met and presented gifts to encourage the national teams on the occasion of National Day 2.9.

On the afternoon of August 29, at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, VFF General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu had a meeting, encouraged and presented gifts to the teams participating in the U18 men's, U14 and U16 women's teams that were gathering and training.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Phu acknowledged the serious training spirit of the players, and affirmed that this is the time when the entire Vietnamese football system is aiming for many important tasks in the international arena.

Currently, the Vietnam futsal team is training in Ho Chi Minh City to prepare for the 2026 Asian futsal qualifiers. The U16 Vietnam women's team is also participating in the 2025 Southeast Asian U16 Women's Championship in Indonesia and will go to Germany for training under the Bundesliga Dream project. In addition, the U23 team and the national team will officially gather from August 29.

According to the plan, the national team will compete in the final qualifying matches of the 2027 Asian Cup in October, while the U23 team will enter Group C of the 2026 U23 Asian qualifiers, taking place at Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho) from September 3 to 9.

On the occasion of National Day 2.9, on behalf of VFF leaders, General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu sent his congratulations to the players and coaching staff, and expressed his hope that the teams will train effectively, achieve good results, and meet the expectations of fans.
