The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) awarded U17 Vietnam VND600 million after winning a ticket to the 2026 U17 Asian Cup finals.

U17 Vietnam ended the 2026 U17 Asian qualifiers with an impressive 4-0 victory over U17 Malaysia, thereby winning Group C with a perfect record and not conceding a goal. Immediately after the match, VFF gave the team a bonus of 600 million VND.

The "final" match of Group C taking place at PVF Stadium witnessed the proactive participation of U17 Vietnam. After only 4 minutes, the pressure of the home team brought the opening goal when Manh Cuong shot close to the goal after a messy ball from a set piece.

The early goal helped coach Cristiano Roland's team easily deploy the pressing game, causing U17 Malaysia to continuously confused in defense.

Before the break, Van Duong dribbled the ball at speed and passed it to Anh Hao to increase the score to 2-0. Entering the second half, U17 Vietnam continued to play coordinatedly and soon scored the third goal when Van Duong successfully finished in the penalty area. In the 76th minute, Sy Bach ended the match with a tricky shot, sealing a 4-0 victory.

In addition to winning all 12 points from 4 matches, U17 Vietnam scored a total of 30 goals and kept a clean sheet. This is the achievement that is considered the most impressive in the qualifying round. This series of results helped the team win a ticket to the 2026 U17 Asian Cup finals in Saudi Arabia.

Witnessing the convincing performance, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan highly appreciated the spirit and modern playing style of the youth team: U17 Vietnam demonstrated its mettle and remarkable progress. This success shows the right and methodical investment direction for youth football".

The 2026 U17 Asian Cup finals will take place in May 2026, and the 8 teams with the best results will qualify for the 2026 U17 World Cup.
