According to the plan, the 2026 Asian Dancesport Championship will be held in Ho Chi Minh City from July 9 to 12.
The Vietnam National Sports Dance Team has been officially established and will gather from March 1. Members of the Vietnam National Sports Dance Team are practicing to prepare for the above tournament.
For the standard content, the Vietnam National Dance Team appointed coach Nguyen Hai Anh (Chi Anh) to take on the role of head coach. There will be 15 athletes training in this content in the Vietnam National Dance Team squad.
For the Latin content, coach Nguyen Hong Thi (Khanh Thi) takes on the role of head coach. The Vietnamese athletes' force has 6 players preparing professionally for this content. Among them, the leading couple in the Vietnamese Latin dance sports content, Nguyen Doan Minh Truong (Phan Hien) and Dang Thu Huong, are in the training squad.
The coaching staff of the Vietnam National Dance Team sets a goal to build a flexible competition strategy, focusing on the artistic, technical and unique identity of Vietnamese athletes to find opportunities to achieve the highest results right at home.
Last year, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City was the venue for the Vietnam Dancesport Festival 2025 international sports dance program. In the above program, the Southeast Asian and Asian Sports Dance Tournament 2025 was held.
