Phan Hien - Thu Huong won 3 gold medals in Southeast Asian sports dance

At the Vietnam Dancesport (sports dance) Festival event held at home, two athletes Phan Hien - Thu Huong had an excellent performance.

Vietnam Dancesport Festival takes place at Military Region 7 Gymnasium, Ho Chi Minh City, from July 9 to 13. The event brings together more than 4,000 athletes from 37 countries and territories around the world.

Within the framework of the festival, 3 international tournaments will take place including the Southeast Asian, Asian and World Open championships.

Notably, this year's tournament welcomed the participation of athletes of all ages.

The entire organization process, including technical infrastructure, preparation work and scoring system, complies with international standards and is recognized in the official ranking system of the World Sports and Dance Federation (WDSF).

This is an important opportunity for athletes to accumulate points and improve their rankings in the international arena.

With excellent performance, the two athletes Phan Hien - Thu Huong won 3 gold medals at the 2025 Southeast Asian Dancesport in the events of 5-tone all-round Latin, Samba solo, and Paso Doble solo. They overcame a series of strong opponents from the Philippines and Malaysia.

Phan Hien - Thu Huong is the current Southeast Asian Dancesport champion, having won 3 gold medals at the 31st SEA Games, and has just excellently entered the Top 49 on the World WDSF rankings. To prepare for the tournament at home, the two athletes have been training in Europe for a month.

In addition to Phan Hien - Thu Huong, the Ngoc An - To Uyen dance duo received the Chacha solo gold medal, Rumba solo; Nam Anh - Anh Phuong won the Jive solo bronze medal.

With systematic investment, international scale and a spirit of deep integration, the event not only contributes to bringing Vietnamese sports dance to a new height but also affirms the image of a dynamic, creative Vietnam that strongly integrates with the world.
