The Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports, the Vietnam Physical Education Federation (VGF) in collaboration with the company of dancesport star Khanh Thi have just officially announced the organization of the Vietnam Dancesport Festival 2025.
The tournament will take place from July 9 to 13, 2025 at the Military Region 7 Gymnasium, Ho Chi Minh City. This is one of the most classy sports dance events in Asia held in Vietnam, marking a major turning point in bringing the country's sports dance to international stature.
Vietnam Dancesport Festival 2025 is not simply a sports tournament, but a unique cultural - artistic festival, where dancing stars from around the world gather.
As part of the festival, Vietnam also jointly organized the Southeast Asian Championship, the Asian Championship and the World Open Championship. This is an opportunity for domestic audiences to directly witness top-notch competitions, artistic dances imbued with the spirit of international competition, right at Vietnam's home ground.
Notably, this year's tournament will welcome the participation of athletes of all ages. The entire organization process, including technical infrastructure, preparation work and scoring system, complies with international standards and is recognized in the official ranking system of the World Sports and Dance Federation (WDSF). This is an important opportunity for athletes to accumulate points and improve their rankings in the international arena.
This year's event brings together a large number of athletes from more than 26 countries and territories, with many international events taking place continuously for 5 days. This is also an opportunity for Vietnamese athletes to learn, compete, improve their professional qualifications and competitive spirit in a world-class environment.
Notably, the pair Phan Hien - Thu Huong, the reigning champion of Dancesport Southeast Asia, the excellent pair received 3 gold medals at the 31st SEA Games, just excellently entered the Top 49 on the world WDSF rankings.
They are one of the couples participating in the upcoming tournament, representing Vietnam in the Latin event, bringing the trust and great expectations from experts as well as domestic fans.
