Vietnam will participate in 4 volleyball events at the 33rd SEA Games

We will participate in the indoor volleyball and beach volleyball events at the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand.

The volleyball department (Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports) said it will register 4 teams to participate in indoor and beach events at the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand.

The domestic women's volleyball team received the target of winning the gold medal, while the domestic men's volleyball team aimed to win the medal.

The beach volleyball men's and women's teams achieved their goal of striving to win medals. According to the regulations of the 33rd SEA Games volleyball tournament, each team participating in the indoor event can register a maximum of 14 players and each beach team can have a maximum of 4 athletes.

At the 33rd SEA Games in Cambodia, Vietnamese sports won 3 volleyball medals including 1 silver medal in women's volleyball at home, 1 bronze medal in men's volleyball at home and 1 bronze medal in beach women's volleyball.

The indoor matches at the 33rd SEA Games will be played in Bangkok (Thailand) while the beach event will take place in Chonburi City (Thailand). Currently, the teams have not registered an official list with the Organizing Committee.

Currently, the reigning SEA Games champion of women's volleyball at home is Thailand. The Indonesian team is holding the championship of the domestic men's volleyball tournament.

The 2 Vietnam men's and women's volleyball teams have just participated in 2 stages of the 2025 SEA V.League to grasp the teams in the region preparing for the 33rd SEA Games.
