With 2 goals from Van Quyet (first leg) and Omar (second leg), Hanoi Club defeated B. Binh Duong in both matches with a total score of 2-0, to officially go down in history as the first Vietnamese team to win the AFC Cup in Southeast Asia.

According to the format of the AFC Cup 2019, Hanoi will meet altyn Asyr FC of Turkmenistan in the inter-regional semi-final. The two inter-regional semi-final matches will take place on August 20 at Hang Day Stadium and the second leg on August 27 in Turkmenistan.
