The Vietnamese kurash team began competing in the 2025 Asian Championship, which opened in Korea on the evening of August 2 (local time).
At the 2025 Asian Championship, the Asian kurash Federation will organize competitions for teenagers, youth and champions. The kurash Vietnam team registered 17 fighters to compete.
The contents for the youth group competed first. The Vietnamese fighter competed and won two gold medals with the achievements of Ta Yen Nhu and Nguyen Thi Tu Trinh. We won another silver medal from boxer Nguyen Hieu.
The coaching staff of the Vietnam kurash Team said that on August 3, the Vietnamese fighters will continue to compete in the championship group.
This year the tournament has events for the youth group including: 42kg, 46kg, 50kg, 55kg, 60kg, 65kg, 71kg, 77kg, 83kg, 90kg, over 90kg (men) and 36kg, 40kg, 44kg, 48kg, 52kg, 57kg, 63kg, 70kg, over 70kg (women).
With the championship results, the fighter will compete in the 60kg, 66kg, 73kg, 81kg, 90kg, 100kg, 120kg, over 120kg for men and 48kg, 52kg, 57kg, 63kg, 70kg, 78kg, 87kg, over 87kg for women. The tournament will close on August 5
kurash has been officially included in the program at the SEA Games and ASIAD. However, at the 33rd SEA Games, host Thailand did not organize this event.
