The fire broke out on the evening of August 2 at a factory located in Tan Hoi 1 Industrial Cluster (Tan Hoi Commune, Tay Ninh Province), causing great property damage.
The fire broke out at around 6:20 p.m. and quickly spread because the workshop contained many flammable raw materials and chemicals. Although the security forces initially tried to control the fire with on-site fire fighting equipment, the fire still went beyond control and engulfed the entire production area.

After receiving the news, the leaders of Tan Hoi commune were directly present to direct the handling of the situation. At the same time, Tay Ninh Provincial Police mobilized fire police forces from neighboring areas to the scene to coordinate in extinguishing the fire. However, dense smoke and large fire area caused many obstacles to firefighting.
By 10:10 p.m. the same day, the fire was initially controlled and completely extinguished at around 1 a.m. on August 3.
The incident did not record any human casualties but caused the entire factory area of nearly 12,000m2 to be burned down, with initial estimated damage of about 9 billion VND.
The cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
