Boxer Quang "Bang" Le will have a top performance at the UFC Fight Night: Sandhagen vs figureiredo event taking place on April 4 in the US, against Gaston "Dreamkiller" Bolanos from Peru.
Bolanos joined UFC in early 2023, has played 3 UFC matches with a record of 2 wins and 1 loss. Both of his victories were based on the consensus score from the assessment.
As the only Vietnamese fighter participating in UFC - the most prestigious mixed martial arts (MMA) tournament in the world, Quang Le admitted that he was under a lot of pressure.
"In the upcoming match against Bolanos, I will face more pressure because I have not won in the previous 2 matches. I really hope to have my first victory in UFC, so I practice a lot.
I have changed a little tactically. In the previous two matches, I focused on standing and playing, but in this match, my opponent is very good and has experience in standing and playing, so I have to try to put him on the floor," Quang Le shared with reporters.

Quang Le debuted in the UFC tournament in August 2024, met opponent Chris Gutierrez but unfortunately lost with a score of 29-28, 29-28, 29-28 after 3 rounds. That defeat left many lessons for the fighter from Bien Hoa and realized his mistakes.
"The first two matches of the UFC left me with many lessons, especially the debut match against Chris Gutierrez. The opponent hit very skillfully. When I look back, I think if I could change a little, I would be able to win the match. That match made me feel very lost."
"I realized that I did not use it and tightened much, just attentively stood in the fight, I did not use my battle and other strengths. When I was professional, I used a lot of war, later I rarely used it, even though I still practiced. I thought it was my mistake."
Quang Le's family has always supported him in pursuing a martial arts career from the very beginning. The boxer born in 1991 practiced with a tight schedule, only having time with his family on weekends, but he was fully supported by his wife to focus on his career.
Quang Le started his career with the traditional martial arts school Tay Son Bac Phai, taught by martial artist Xuan Phuoc - a student of the old martial artist Xuan Binh.
"My first shots were taught by martial artist Xuan Phuoc. The teacher is a student of the old martial artist Xuan Binh. When I first started my career, I studied under Xuan Phuoc for 3 years. My attacks are all learned from him, especially the kicks," Quang Le shared.
Coming to UFC is a dream that Quang Le has been nurturing for 10 years. He was first signed by UFC to play officially and on the stage at the UFC on ESPN 61 event on August 11.
"I probably won't forget the day I get into UFC. That day, my manager called and informed me, I was very happy. At that time, it was only 6 days before the debut match, but I immediately accepted it when I was not sure who the opponent was."
"I was shaken for half an hour because my dream had come true, I couldn't believe it. Despite the pressure, I am very proud to represent Vietnam and hold the national flag on the world's largest arena," said the Bien Hoa fighter.
