Two Vietnamese boxers enter the quarterfinals of the World Championship

The two Vietnamese boxers, Ha Thi Linh and Vo Thi Kim Anh, entered the quarterfinals of the 2025 Women's World Championship.

The 2025 Women's World Championship will take place in Serbia from March 8 to March 16. In the early morning of March 12 Vietnam time, the Vietnamese boxing team has 4 fighters competing.

In the 54kg weight class, Vo Thi Kim Anh had a good start in the qualifying matches. She won 5-0 against Zhao Xuan (China) and 5-2 against the number 8 seed Zeynab Rahimova (Azerbaijan) to qualify for the quarterfinals.

Kim Anh's teammate Ha Thi Linh also had good results. Ha Thi Linh is ranked as the number 5 seed in the 63kg weight class. She won an overwhelming 4-1 victory over Alcala Omailyn (Venezuela) in round 16 to get a ticket to the quarter-finals.

According to the schedule, the quarter-finals will take place tonight and early tomorrow morning (March 13, Vietnam time). Kim Anh will meet the number 1 seed in the 54kg weight class, Widad Bertel (Morocco). Meanwhile, Ha Thi Linh will face Sorokina Jekaterina ( latvia).

With the top 8 fighters, Kim Anh and Ha Thi Linh promise to receive an impressive reward of 10,000 USD according to the announcement of the organizing committee and the International boxing Association (IBA). In addition, the rewards for champions, runners-up and third-place runners-up will increase further, according to the levels of 100,000 USD, 50,000 USD and 25,000 USD.
