Round 1 of the 2026 National Volleyball Championship has 20 foreign players

16 volleyball teams participating in round 1 of the 2026 National Club Championship have completed foreign player registration.

The Vietnam Volleyball Federation and the Organizing Committee of the tournament have approved the registration list of 14 official players of each team participating in round 1 of this year's tournament at a technical meeting on the morning of April 5 in Dong Anh (Hanoi).

According to statistics, 15 teams (8 men, 7 women) registered foreign players to play. The only team without foreign players is Hung Yen women's team.

Round 1 of this year's tournament will have 20 foreign players registered to compete. According to regulations, each team is allowed to register a maximum of 2 foreign players, but only 1 player is allowed to play at all times.

Teams with 2 foreign players will participate in the tournament: VTV Binh Dien Long An (Lianet García Anglada, Regla Martínez Ortiz of Cuban nationality), Duc Giang Chemicals (Tichaya Boonlert, Kuttika Kaewpin of Thai nationality), Information Corps (Che Wenhan, Sun Jie of Chinese nationality) and Ho Chi Minh City Police (Martin Licek (Czech Republic), Ali Haghparast (Iran)), The Cong Tan Cang (Rivan (Indonesia), Xue Zhihong (China)).

The teams only strengthened 1 foreign player, namely Bien Phong MB (Jakkrit Thanomnoi, Thailand), LPBank Ninh Binh (Batsuuri Battur, Mongolia), Hanoi (Kuon Mom, Cambodia), Da Nang (Kittithad Nuwaddee, Thailand), Sanest Khanh Hoa (Garrett Muagututia, USA), Ho Chi Minh City (Luiz Felipe Perotto, Brazil) and LPBank Ninh Binh (Wang Yizhu, China), Vietinbank (Suvi Kokkonen, Finland), Cai Xiaoqing (Xi măng Long Sơn Thanh Hóa, China), Hanoi (Ivana Vanjak, Germany).

Currently, foreign player Xue Zhihong of The Cong Tan Cang team will be the last person to come to Vietnam. It is expected that the player will be present on April 6.

Round 1 of the 2026 National Club Championship will be held from April 6 to 19. 4. Entrance tickets at Dong Anh Gymnasium (Hanoi) are sold at denominations of 50,000 VND/ticket and 100,000 VND/ticket.
