On November 12, the shooter expressed: "I am confident from the coaching exercises. I set a goal for myself to achieve the highest achievement. The challenge of competing for a gold medal is huge but I will not miss it if the opportunity comes to me".
According to the preparation, the coaching staff of the Vietnam Shooting Team will give Pham Quang Huy an official chance to participate in the 33rd SEA Games. This will be the second time in his career that the Hai Phong shooter has the opportunity to conquer the peak of the SEA Games arena achievements.
The last time Pham Quang Huy participated in the Games was the 31st SEA Games in 2022 at home. This player won the gold medal in the men's 10m air pistol event.
Shooter Pham Quang Huy shared more: I have been training and competing in a number of international tournaments since the beginning of 2025. Through each tournament, I have accumulated more expertise. Most recently, I attended the 2025 Southeast Asian Championship in Thailand. This is a competition that brings results for me to gain more experience".

Next week, Pham Quang Huy will go to Korea for training. According to the shooter's assessment, the training session will help him change the training environment and gain more professional experience before competing in Thailand.
This year, Pham Quang Huy won the gold medal in the 10m air pistol event for the men's and women's team at the 2025 Asian Cup (competing with Trinh Thu Vinh). Next, the shooter also won 1 silver medal, 1 bronze medal at the 2025 Asian Championship.
Pham Quang Huy said: After ASIAD 19, I have had more positive changes in my expertise. The 33rd SEA Games is the next major international event that I will attend, so I am very focused on preparing to bring glory to the Fatherland.
