Today, 17 shooters of the Vietnamese shooting team returned home to continue professional preparation for ASIAD 20.
In the final event taking place on July 28 in China at the 2026 World Cup – ISSF World Cup 2026, the Vietnamese shooter was unsuccessful in the mixed men's and women's 10m air rifle team event.
In this competition, Vietnam 1 team (Phí Thanh Thảo, Nguyễn Tâm Quang) achieved 623.6 points, ranking 22nd. Vietnam 2 team (Lê Thị Mộng Tuyền, Nguyễn Minh Quang) achieved 623.1 points, ranking 23rd.
At the end of the tournament, 17 Vietnamese shooters successively competed in rifle and pistol shooting exercises for men and women but did not win any medals.
We have focused on finding opportunities to win medals in the women's 10m air pistol, men's 10m air pistol, women's 25m sports pistol and men's 25m rapid fire pistol events, but it has not been effective.
At the 2026 World Cup in China, important shooters including Trinh Thu Vinh, Pham Quang Huy, Nguyen Thuy Trang... competed.
In May this year, members of the Vietnamese shooting team participated in the 2026 World Cup held in Munich (Germany) but have not yet won a medal.
The Vietnamese shooting team is a key sports team being prepared for ASIAD 20.
Immediately after the 2026 World Cup in China, the shooters will learn from experience and return to practice at the National Rifle Training Center.
