The focus of the final day of the 2025 World Men's Volleyball Championship group stage is the match between the Philippines and Iran. The two Asian teams compete directly for a place in the round of 16.
Under the enthusiastic cheers of the home crowd, the Philippines entered the match enthusiastically, winning sets 1 and 3 respectively to lead their opponents 2-1. However, Iran showed their mettle at the right time with a solid and persistent playing style, equalizing 2-2 and then winning dramatically 22-20 in set 5.
With this result, Iran is the only Asian representative to participate in the round of 16.
In Group H, a surprise happened when Serbia defeated the world's number 2 team Brazil with a score of 3-0. Luburic and Peric shine to help Serbia become the first team in Group H to qualify. The remaining ticket belongs to the Czech Republic - the team that beat China 3-0 in the decisive match, and eliminated Brazil from the tournament.
Group C witnessed a dramatic match between Argentina and France. Accordingly, the American team defeated their opponent with a score of 3-2 after 5 sets. In the same group, Finland beat Korea 3-1, thereby entering the round of 16.
In Group G, Italy showed their superiority when defeating Ukraine 3-0, officially winning a final ticket to the round of 16 at the World Volleyball Championship.
