Oil prices rose in the first session of the week as the market was uncertain about when the Hormuz Strait would reopen, although Iran said the agreement with Oman on new shipping routes was in its final stages.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the world gasoline and oil market in this operating period is affected by key factors such as: the US canceling a new attack on Iran; Iran and Oman reaching consensus on the management mechanism of the Hormuz Strait; OPEC+ approving a plan to increase oil production from September; the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues, focusing heavily on energy facilities, oil refineries...
The above factors have caused world finished gasoline and oil prices in recent days to increase and decrease depending on the item, but the downward trend is main.
The selling prices of popular consumer gasoline and oil items on the market on August 10 are as follows:
- E5 RON92 gasoline: not higher than 21,728 VND/liter, 596 VND/liter lower than E10 RON95-III gasoline.

- Diesel oil 0.05S: not higher than 27,544 VND/liter.

According to a representative of a gasoline and oil business, in the price adjustment period next week, domestic gasoline and oil prices may simultaneously decrease. Accordingly, the price of E5 RON92 gasoline and E10 RON95-III gasoline may decrease by 1,000 - 1,300 VND/liter; oil prices may decrease from 100 - 1,600 VND/liter, depending on the type.
However, this business also noted that the increase or decrease depends on the spending of the gasoline and oil price stabilization fund of the inter-Ministry of Finance - Ministry of Industry and Trade.
