At 8:50 PM on July 16, world oil prices simultaneously increased. WTI oil price was at 79.88 USD/barrel, up 0.28 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.35%. Brent oil was at 85.29 USD/barrel, up 0.34 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.40%.
World oil prices continued to increase in the trading session on July 16, extending the upward momentum to the third consecutive session.
In this afternoon's operating session, the inter-Ministry of Industry and Trade - Finance decided to spend using the gasoline and oil price stabilization fund (appeal fund from the state budget).
- Biofuel: 0 VND/liter;
- Diesel oil: 1,500 VND/liter;
- Mazut oil: 500 VND/kg.
After implementing the provision and use of the gasoline and oil price stabilization fund for the above-mentioned gasoline and oil items, the selling prices of popular consumer gasoline and oil items on the market from 3:00 PM today are as follows:
- E5RON92 gasoline: not higher than 19,826 VND/liter (an increase of 635 VND/liter compared to the current maximum selling price), lower than E10RON95-III gasoline by 724 VND/liter;
- E10RON95-III gasoline: not higher than 20,550 VND/liter (an increase of 547 VND/liter compared to the current maximum selling price);
- Diesel oil 0.05S: not higher than 23,329 VND/liter (an increase of 1,584 VND/liter compared to the current maximum selling price);
- 180CST 3.5S mazut oil: not higher than 14,459 VND/kg (an increase of 724 VND/kg compared to the current maximum selling price).
Gasoline and oil selling prices of neighboring countries of Vietnam on July 16, 2026:
- Regarding gasoline prices: Thailand: 27,391 VND/liter (Government subsidies); Cambodia: 25,354 VND/liter (Government subsidies); Laos: 42,648 VND/liter; China: 29,175 VND/liter (Government price control); Vietnam: 20,550 VND/liter.
- Regarding oil prices: Thailand: 27,391 VND/liter (Government subsidies); Cambodia: 27,955 VND/liter; Laos: 33,924 VND/liter; China: 26,234 VND/liter (Government price control); Vietnam: 23,329 VND/liter. Vietnam's gasoline and oil prices are currently lower than countries sharing the same border.
