At 5:30 PM on September 2, 2026, world oil prices fluctuated in opposite directions. Accordingly, WTI oil price was at 90.13 USD/barrel, down 0.09 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.1%. Brent oil was at 94.86 USD/barrel, up 0.21 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.22%.
Last week, world oil prices fell sharply. In which, WTI oil prices fell 4.2%, Brent oil prices fell 4.93%.
World oil prices are affected by consideration as traders worry about the risk of supply disruption after the attacks by the US and Iran last night compared to signs that crude oil supply continues to reach the market.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the world gasoline and oil market in this operating period is affected by key factors such as: US economic pressure on Iran; Iran and Oman exchanging and discussing details of agreements related to controlling the Ormuz Strait; military conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues, continuing to focus heavily on energy facilities, oil refineries... The above factors have caused world finished gasoline and oil prices in recent days to increase and decrease depending on the item.
The selling prices of popular consumer gasoline and oil items in the domestic market in the operating period on September 2nd are as follows:
- E5 RON92 gasoline: not higher than 21,763 VND/liter, 839 VND/liter lower than E10RON95-III gasoline;
- E10 RON95-III gasoline: not higher than 22,602 VND/liter;
- Diesel oil 0.05S: not higher than 28,084 VND/liter;
- 180CST 3.5S fuel oil: not higher than 18,140 VND/kg.
Gasoline and oil selling prices of neighboring countries of Vietnam on August 27, 2026:
- Regarding gasoline prices: Thailand: 29,533 VND/liter (Government subsidies); Cambodia: 28,337 VND/liter (Government subsidies); Laos: 44,856 VND/liter; China: 31,657 VND/liter (Government price control); Vietnam: 22,602 VND/liter.
- Regarding oil prices: Thailand: 30,081 VND/liter (Government subsidies); Cambodia: 33,811 VND/liter; Laos: 38,184 VND/liter; China: 28,640 VND/liter (Government price control); Vietnam: 28,084 VND/liter.
Gasoline and oil prices in Vietnam are currently low compared to many countries in the region.
