At noon on September 2nd, the Khanh Hoa 115 Emergency Center switchboard received an emergency call from a resident reporting a house fire on T7 street, An Binh Tan urban area.
On the way to the scene, team 115 proactively contacted and coordinated with force 114 to ensure that access and rescue were deployed quickly and safely.
According to initial records, at the time of the fire, there were 6 people inside the house. Among them, 4 people luckily escaped, and the other 2 were trapped on the 2nd floor.
As soon as they approached the scene, team 115 coordinated with force 114, using necessary equipment to quickly approach the 2nd floor and take the 2 victims out.
The first victim is Ms. L.T.K (born in 1952) who was initially diagnosed with circulatory arrest, extrahospitalary respiratory arrest, suspected of CO poisoning.
Team 115 immediately deployed cardiopulmonary resuscitation, external chest compression, intubation with oxygen, and quickly transported the patient to the Emergency Department, Khanh Hoa General Hospital to continue intensive resuscitation.
The second victim is Ms. L.N. H. C (born in 1984) diagnosed with circulatory arrest, extrahospitalary respiratory arrest, suspected of severe burns and CO poisoning.
Immediately, team 115 performed an external chest compression, balloon ventilation through the endotracheal tube with oxygen and urgently transported the patient to the Emergency Department, Khanh Hoa General Hospital to continue resuscitation.
After about 20 minutes of intensive resuscitation, both patients had their hearts beat again.
After that, patients were consulted inter-specialized with hospital leaders, performed in-depth paraclinical tests and then transferred to departments for further treatment.
Khanh Hoa 115 Emergency Center recommends that when an emergency situation occurs, people should calmly call 115, provide the exact location and condition of the victim.
In case of fire, people should not voluntarily return to dangerous areas to rescue people when safety is not guaranteed.
