Continuously "sold out" because of selling red envelopes to catch the trend
As a long-time trader on Hang Ma Street (Hoan Kiem, Hanoi), Ms. Vu Dung Nhi said that this year the red envelope business market is more vibrant than ever because many business people quickly caught up with the trend of young people.
"This year, there are many new types of lucky money envelopes with eye-catching shapes and unique designs. In addition to the traditional red and yellow lucky money envelopes, customers also have more diverse options such as horizontal lucky money envelopes instead of vertical lucky money envelopes. The lucky money envelope designs have been greatly improved in quality when using thicker paper, covered with glitter, and meticulous details, attracting the attention of many customers, especially the elderly.
For young people, chibi red envelopes with funny cartoon characters like Labubu and Babythree are very popular. Unique designs like stickers have quickly won the hearts of young people with affordable prices, starting from only 2 thousand VND/piece,” Ms. Nhi shared.
In addition to retailing new lucky money designs, Nhi's shop often sells traditional lucky money in bundles, from 10,000 - 15,000 VND/bundle. Thanks to the variety of designs and affordable prices, the shop welcomes more than a hundred customers every night to visit and shop.
In recent days, the average revenue at Ms. Nhi's stall has reached 1 million VND/day, many "hot" designs are constantly "sold out".
Not only bustling at traditional markets, on many buying and selling groups on social networks, unique types of lucky money envelopes also help sellers earn high sales.
Mr. Dinh Van Thanh (Nam Tu Liem, Hanoi) does online business. He said that since the beginning of the 12th lunar month until now, he has sold thousands of products thanks to doing business on Shoppe and Tiktok shop.
"I started advertising before the New Year and it sold quite well. This year's lucky money envelopes have beautiful designs and many eye-catching shapes, especially those with cartoon characters that are popular with young people, selling very well. On a good day, I can earn several million VND per day," Thanh shared.
To prepare lucky money for the upcoming Tet holiday, taking advantage of the day off, Ms. Nguyen Minh Hang (Hoang Mai, Hanoi) and her family went shopping for Tet. This year, she prioritized choosing chibi-shaped lucky money instead of traditional lucky money.
“I think not only my children but also other children will love these types of lucky money because they have bright colors and funny images. As for traditional lucky money, I will prioritize giving it to grandparents and parents,” Ms. Hang shared.
