Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee has issued Plan No. 68/KH-UBND on reserves and supply of essential goods to serve the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year. This plan aims to curb inflation and stabilize the goods market, especially essential goods before, during and after the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year.
According to the Plan, the stockpiling and supply time of goods is calculated from January 19, 2026 (ie December 1, 2025 lunar calendar) to the end of March 18, 2026 (ie January 30 of the Lunar Calendar of Binh Ngo 2026), with about 57,684.6 tons of all kinds, such as: Rice, sugar, livestock meat, poultry meat, cooking oil.
Notably, businesses implemented goods supply reserves with a total capital value of more than 604 billion VND, of which essential goods were more than 228 billion VND.
Currently, in the province, there are 351 markets (12 grade 1 markets, 40 grade 2 markets and 299 grade 3 markets), 115 Bach Hoa Xanh stores, 23 Winmart+ stores. On the other hand, with 29 price-stabilized sales locations during the Lunar New Year 2026 according to the registration of businesses, localities and department stores covering all communes and wards. The supply of essential goods is guaranteed on all distribution and retail channels in the area.
