According to a survey at 2:51 p.m. on June 9 (Vietnam time), WTI oil price decreased by 0.17 USD/barrel (down 0.26%), down to 64.41 USD/barrel. Brent oil price decreased by 0.21 USD/barrel (down 0.32%), down to 66.26 USD/barrel.
Assessing the prospects of the energy market, some major financial institutions have made notable comments. In particular, HSBC forecasts that OPEC+ can speed up the progress of oil production in August and September. This could increase downward pressure on Brent oil price expectations at $65/barrel in the fourth quarter of 2025.
Meanwhile, the analysis team led by Mr. Warren Patterson from ING said that the price difference between WTI and Brent oil is tending to narrow. The reason is the combination of OPEC+ increasing supply, the US crude oil production growth rate not being too strong, and the prospect of US production may decrease next year.
