According to a survey at 4:44 p.m. on August 30, world oil prices decreased simultaneously. At the end of the weekend trading session, WTI crude oil was at 64.01 USD/barrel, down 0.59 USD/barrel; equivalent to a decrease of 0.91 USD/barrel. WTI oil closed the previous trading session at 64.60 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 64.26 USD/barrel.
Brent oil was at 67.48 USD/barrel, down 0.50 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.74%. Brent oil closed the previous trading session at 67.98 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 67.59 USD/barrel.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the world petroleum market last week (from August 21, 2025 to August 27, 2025) was affected by main factors such as: the US increasing taxes on imported goods from India; US crude oil reserves decreased more strongly than forecast; the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine continued, the two sides increased attacks on each other's energy base... The above factors have caused world petroleum prices in recent days to fluctuate up and down depending on each commodity.
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, retail prices of gasoline may decrease.
In the adjustment session last week (September 28), the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased compared to the previous adjustment period, at VND19771/liter (up VND307/liter). RON 95-III gasoline price increased compared to the previous adjustment period, priced at VND 20,363/liter (up VND 271/liter).
Prices of oil products have also increased simultaneously. Of which, diesel 0.05S is priced at VND 18,357/liter (up VND 452/liter); kerosene has a new price of VND 18,225/liter (up VND 411/liter); mazut is priced at VND 15,260/kg (up VND 144/kg).
