At the end of last week's trading session, world gasoline prices simultaneously increased slightly. WTI crude oil price increased by 0.25 USD/barrel (up 0.42%), to 59.44 USD/barrel. Brent oil price increased by 0.23 USD/barrel (up 0.36%), to 63.99 USD/barrel.
In the price management period last week, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said that the world gasoline and oil market (from December 31, 2025 - January 7, 2026) is affected by key factors such as: OPEC+ agrees to maintain stable oil production in Q1/2026; The United States arrests the President of Venezuela, leading to the possibility that the United States will soon end the embargo on Venezuelan oil; military conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues and shows signs of escalation right in the first days of the year... The above factors have caused world gasoline and oil prices in recent days to increase and decrease depending on each item.
Regarding the domestic market, a representative of a gasoline and oil business said that it will fluctuate according to the world gasoline and oil situation. According to current market developments, it is predicted that in the next price adjustment period, retail gasoline and oil prices may have opposite adjustments in the direction of gasoline prices slightly decreasing and oil prices increasing.
In the adjustment session last week (January 15), gasoline prices simultaneously increased compared to the previous week's price adjustment period. In which, E5 RON 92 gasoline has a price of 18,376 VND/liter (up 143 VND/liter). RON 95-III gasoline has a price of 18,712 VND/liter (up 152 VND/liter).
Prices of oil products fluctuated in opposite directions. Diesel 0.05S priced at 17,287 VND/liter (up 226 VND/liter); kerosene had a new price of 17,697 VND/liter (up 138 VND/liter); mazut oil 180CST 3.5S priced at 13,401 VND/kg (down 2 VND/kg).
