Domestic coffee prices
On the morning of August 14, the domestic coffee market continued to increase. In the Central Highlands, the common purchase price is from 111,000 - 111,600 VND/kg.
Accordingly, Lam Dong recorded 111,000 VND/kg, the highest increase of 3,700 VND; Gia Lai 111,200 VND/kg (up 3,400 VND); Dak Lak 111,500 VND/kg increased to 3,500 VND.
The growing area in the old Dak Nong province (now merged into Lam Dong) reached 111,600 VND/kg, an increase of 3,400 VND.
Compared to the beginning of 2025 when prices ranged from 119,000 - 119,800 VND/kg, the price is now about 8,000 - 8,200 VND/kg lower, gradually narrowing the gap with high prices.
World coffee prices
In the world market, the London Stock Exchange recorded Robusta futures for September 2025 at 3,933 USD/ton, reversing to increase to 206 USD; November 2025 futures increased by 171 USD to 3,799 USD/ton; longer terms increased from 123 - 138 USD/ton.
In the same direction, the New York exchange witnessed a strong increase in Arabica: the September 2025 term increased by 4.45 cents and anchored at 319.60 US cents/lb; the December 2025 term increased by 4.35 cents to 312.65 cents/lb; other terms also increased from 4.25 - 4.55 cents.
Arabica coffee futures on the ICE increased yesterday (August 14) as investors continued to assess the impact of the high US import tax on Brazil. At the same time, investors are also focusing on the cold front in some coffee growing areas of the country.
The Association of Brazilian Coffee Exporters said that US coffee importers have asked Brazilian coffee exporters to postpone deliveries after the US imposed a 50% tariff on Brazilian goods.
Information about light fog, scattered in some coffee regions in Brazil also contributed to pushing prices up this week, although the harvest progress is generally still favorable.
