Domestic coffee prices
On August 12, domestic coffee prices increased simultaneously. In Dak Lak, the price reached 107,300 VND/kg, an increase of 3,300 VND/kg compared to the previous session. Lam Dong recorded 106,500 VND/kg, up 2,900 VND/kg.
In Gia Lai, the price reached 107,000 VND/kg, an increase of 3,200 VND/kg; meanwhile, the growing area in Dak Nong (now merged into Lam Dong) held the highest price of 107,500 VND/kg, an increase of 3,300 VND/kg.
Compared to the beginning of 2025 (119,000 - 119,800 VND/kg), coffee prices are currently about 11,500 - 12,500 VND/kg lower. In the same period in 2024, coffee prices were recorded at an average of VND 117,800 - 118,500/kg (on August 12, 2024). Compared to the same period, the current coffee price is almost the same.
World coffee prices
On the London Stock Exchange, robusta coffee prices increased in all terms:
The September 2025 term ended at 3,728 USD/ton, up 167 USD/ton;
The November 2025 term reached 3,664 USD/ton, up 154 USD/ton;
The January 2026 term reached 3,605 USD/ton, up 161 USD/ton;
The March 2026 term reached 3,559 USD/ton, up 163 USD/ton;
The May 2026 term reached 3,531 USD/ton, up 163 USD/ton.
On the New York Stock Exchange, arabica coffee prices also increased simultaneously:
The September 2025 term is at 320.70 US cents/lb, up 11.35 cents;
The December 2025 term reached 314.05 US cents/lb, up 11.60 cents;
The March 2026 term reached 304.25 US cents/lb, up 10.60 cents;
The May 2026 term reached 297.55 US cents/lb, up 10.05 cents;
The July 2026 term reached 291.35 US cents/lb, up 9.40 cents.
According to barchart.com, coffee prices increased sharply with arabica prices soaring to a 7-week high and robusta prices soaring to a 4-week high.
Signs of tight coffee supply are supporting prices after the Brazilian Ministry of Commerce reported last Wednesday that Brazil's unroasted coffee exports in July fell -20.4% compared to the same period last year, down to 161,000 tons.
