On the London and New York exchanges, the coffee market moved in opposite directions across all terms. On the London Robusta Coffee Exchange, coffee prices remained unchanged, moving away from the $5,000/ton mark. The March 2025 contract remained unchanged at $5,041/ton. The May 2025 contract remained unchanged at $4,953/ton.
Similarly, the New York Arabica coffee market ended its strong growth streak. The March 2025 and May 2025 delivery periods did not record any changes, currently anchored at 328.60 cents/lb and 323.35 cents/lb.
According to statistics from the International Trade Center (ITC), the US market imported nearly 1.24 million tons of coffee from 103 countries and territories, worth 7.35 billion USD in the first 10 months of the year. In particular, the main suppliers for the US market are often the leading countries in coffee production and harvesting such as: Brazil, Peru, Canada, Indonesia, Vietnam.
The US market imported 91.8 thousand tons of coffee from Vietnam, worth 335.0 million USD, down 31.5% in volume and 1.3% in value compared to the same period last year. Vietnam's coffee market share in the total US import volume decreased to 7.4% from 11.2% in the same period.
Currently, the coffee harvest progress in the Central Highlands provinces is estimated at 30-40%, slower than previous years due to the impact of widespread unseasonal rains. The amount of rain at this time also raises concerns about the coffee output of the next crop.
