Domestic coffee prices
In Vietnam, domestic coffee prices remained at 121,500 - 122,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday's trading session (August 25). Dak Lak and Dak Nong (old) currently recorded the highest level of 122,000 VND/kg; Lam Dong 121,500 VND/kg; Gia Lai 121,800 VND/kg.
Compared to the beginning of last week (August 18, 2025), when the price was only 117,100 - 117,800 VND/kg, the current coffee price is about 4,000 VND/kg higher.
World coffee prices
Arabica coffee futures for December 2025 closed on Monday down 0.55% (equivalent to 0.15%), while Robusta coffee futures for September 2025 on ICE were not traded due to the UK market having a holiday.
Arabica coffee prices fell from a 3.5-month high on Monday and recorded a slight loss as the USD strengthened, triggering profit-taking and liquidating buying positions in Arabica contracts.
Over the past four weeks, coffee prices have risen sharply and hit a 3.5-month high on Monday due to weather concerns in Brazil. Information about the damage to part of Brazil's coffee crop due to last week's price frost is also supporting prices.
Coffee prices are also supported by concerns about tight coffee supply in the US, as US importers have canceled new contracts to buy Brazilian coffee due to a 50% tariff on Brazilian exports to the US. This makes the supply of coffee in the US market scarcer, as about a third of the US unroasted green coffee beans come from Brazil.
