As of 11:30 a.m. today (December 27), the domestic coffee market continued to increase in price, with the current purchase price fluctuating between 121,500 - 122,300 VND/kg. The average coffee purchase price in the Central Highlands provinces today is 122,100 VND/kg.
Lam Dong is still the province with the lowest coffee purchasing price in the Central Highlands, with a difference of about 600 VND/kg compared to the average price. Compared to the closing price at the end of last week, the coffee price in this region increased by 500 VND/kg, reaching the market price of 121,500 VND/kg.
Purchasing at a price 500 VND/kg higher, coffee prices in Gia Lai and Dak Lak provinces today continued to increase slightly to 122,000 VND/kg.
Notably, Dak Nong province is still ranked first among the provinces and cities with the highest coffee purchasing price in the country, holding steady at 122,300 VND/kg.
On the London and New York exchanges, the coffee market moved in opposite directions across all terms. On the London Robusta Coffee Exchange, coffee prices remained unchanged, moving away from the $5,000/ton mark. The contract for delivery in March 2025 remained unchanged at $5,041/ton. The contract for delivery in May 2025 remained unchanged at $4,953/ton.
Similarly, the New York Arabica coffee market ended its strong growth streak and made a shocking "turnaround" to decline. The March 2025 and May 2025 delivery terms both decreased by more than 1%, currently hovering at 324.65 cents/lb and 319.70 cents/lb.
