Market analysis
Domestically, due to the decrease in circulation and the dry weather showing no signs of improvement, coffee prices are expected to remain high and may continue to increase in the short term.
The world coffee market has moved in the opposite direction. Arabica prices hit a two-and-a-half-month high, driven by concerns about falling Brazil's output and stable consumption demand despite rising retail prices.
In contrast, Robusta prices were under downward pressure as Brazil's Robusta output was forecast to increase by 7.3% over the same period, reaching a record of 24.7 million bags. In addition, the Brazilian Real strengthened on April 28, reaching a three-week high against the USD, causing Brazilian producers to reduce their selling momentum, contributing to coffee prices.
