On the New York Stock Exchange, Arabica coffee for delivery in July 2025 increased by 1.05 cents/lb, closing at 399.85 cents/lb; futures such as September and December also increased by 1.30 - 2 cents/lb.

Market analysis
In Vietnam, the drought in the Central Highlands is greatly affecting the coffee crop. Farmers in these areas face a serious lack of irrigation water during the peak of the dry season.
Meanwhile, the European Union's EUDR deforestation regulations are putting pressure on major coffee exporters such as Vietnam, Brazil, Colombia and Indonesia. If these strict criteria are not met, coffee supply to the EU could decrease, leading to the risk of a global supply shortage and pushing coffee prices up.
In the opposite case, the cost of compliance is too high, causing main coffee producing countries that do not meet the standards to shift their exports to more affordable markets such as the US or China, causing the supply here to be redundant and domestic coffee prices to decrease.
