The domestic coffee market continued to decline on the morning of June 9, with a common adjustment of 200 - 300 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Coffee prices currently range from 113,200 to 113,800 VND/kg in key Central Highlands regions.
Dak Lak and Dak Nong maintained the highest level at 113,800 VND/kg, down 200 VND. In Gia Lai, the price decreased to 113,500 VND/kg, while Lam Dong was the lowest in the region at 113,200 VND/kg, down 300 VND/kg compared to June 8.
Since the beginning of the week, domestic coffee prices have lost about 4,500 - 5,000 VND/kg. Compared to the beginning of 2025, the reduction has reached 16,000 - 17,000 VND/kg. However, if compared to the same period last year (June 9, 2024), the current price is still about 7,000 VND/kg higher.
In the world market, coffee prices did not record any new fluctuations in the first session of the week. The London and New York exchanges both kept the same prices set at the end of last week.
Robusta was stable at 4,440 USD/ton for the July 2025 term, while Arabica in July 2025 held 358.05 cents/lb. Both types of coffee had previously undergone a sharp correction on June 7.
Compared to the beginning of the year, Robusta prices are about 500 USD/ton lower and Arabica prices are down nearly 22 cents/lb. However, compared to the same period in 2024, the current price is still significantly higher.
Coffee prices today continue to cool down after a heating up in early June. The domestic market is under selling pressure as prices continue to adjust, while the international market temporarily stagnates waiting for more information about the weather and harvest progress in Brazil.
In the short term, coffee prices may continue to fluctuate within a narrow range if there is no clear support from global supply or USD exchange rate developments.
