In the Northern region, the price of live pigs today increased slightly in Thai Nguyen and Hung Yen, both recording a community level of VND 1,000/kg, raising the price to VND 61,000/kg, the highest in the region. Similar increases were recorded in Ninh Binh (reaching 60,000 VND/kg) and Lao Cai, Dien Bien (reaching 59,000 VND/kg).
The remaining localities have kept it stable, currently traders buy live pigs in the region at 58,000 - 61,000 VND/kg.
In the Central region, after several consecutive increases, the Central pig market today stagnated. The purchase price ranges from 57,000 - 59,000 VND/kg.
Thanh Hoa and Nghe An still maintain the highest level of 59,000 VND/kg. Ha Tinh, Da Nang, Quang Ngai and Lam Dong held at 58,000 VND/kg. The lowest level of 57,000 VND/kg appeared in Quang Tri, Hue, Gia Lai, Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa.
In the Southern region, Dong Thap and An Giang, prices increased, reaching 57,000 VND/kg and 56,000 VND/kg respectively. The remaining localities move sideways, the whole region is around 56,000 - 58,000 VND/kg.
