In the North, the price of live pigs is currently at 68,000 VND/kg in most provinces and cities such as Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Dien Bien, Phu Tho, Son La, Hung Yen, Tuyen Quang, Cao Bang, Thai Nguyen, Lang Son, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Hanoi and Ninh Binh. Hai Phong alone reached 69,000 VND/kg, 1,000 VND/kg higher than the general level.
In the Central - Central Highlands region, the price of live pigs today has a clear differentiation. Many localities such as Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Ngai and Dak Lak are at 67,000 VND/kg. Khanh Hoa is slightly higher at 68,000 VND/kg and Lam Dong is the highest in the region at 69,000 VND/kg. Meanwhile, Gia Lai is the lowest in the country at only 65,000 VND/kg.
The South continues to maintain the highest import-export price of live pigs nationwide: Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City and Ca Mau simultaneously reached the mark of 70,000 VND/kg. Tay Ninh and Can Tho are at 69,000 VND/kg. Dong Thap, An Giang and Vinh Long are at 68,000 VND/kg.
