Assessment and forecast
According to the Vietnam Pepper and Spices Association (VPSA), in the short term, pepper prices have increased compared to previous years, so gardeners have benefited, predicting that the demand for pepper in the world in the coming time will still be quite high, so pepper prices may continue to increase.
In the short term, pepper farmers benefit from high pepper prices, however, in general, the pepper growing profession is still unstable. The main reason is that other crops such as durian are bringing higher profits, making many farmers still not interested in increasing pepper acreage.
