Assessment and forecast
In the domestic market, some pepper growing areas in Dak Nong province are affected by severe weather, causing productivity to decrease compared to 2024. However, pepper prices remain high from 160,000 to 180,000 VND/kg. This brings great joy to farmers, giving them more motivation in harvesting, investing and taking care of their gardens.
Previously, Dak Nong pepper prices were always at the lowest level when traders came to buy, but in recent years, pepper prices here have skyrocketed, rising to the leading position.
The fact that Dak Nong farmers are increasingly focusing on applying science and techniques to properly care for pepper is one of the most important factors. The harvesting, drying and preservation process is carried out carefully, helping to improve product quality and bring Dak Nong pepper to the market with higher value.
In addition, instead of depositing products to agents or companies as before, farmers have now proactively dried and preserved pepper at home. This helps them avoid being forced to price and sell at a higher price at a favorable time.
For the world market, according to experts, global consumption supply is very limited and demand is expected to continue to increase or remain stable. This will create pressure to increase prices.
