Domestic pepper prices: 4th consecutive day standing still
As of 11:30 am today (May 21), domestic pepper prices continue to maintain the price range, averaging 140,800 VND/kg. Currently, key areas are trading in the range of 139,000 - 142,000 VND/kg.
Domestic pepper prices remained unchanged for the 4th consecutive day, currently the listed prices in regions are as follows:
Gia Lai province traded at the 13,900,000 VND/kg mark.
Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc listed prices of 141,000 VND/kg and 140,000 VND/kg respectively.
Meanwhile, Dak Lak and Lam Dong offered for sale at the highest purchase price of 142,000 VND/kg.
World pepper prices: STABLE
In the world market, pepper prices are stable in countries. The two items of black and white pepper in Indonesia stand firm, trading in the range of 7,050 - 9,244 USD/ton (equivalent to 186,029 VND/kg - 243,922 VND/kg).
The Brazilian market maintained an increase of 100 USD/ton, listed at 6,250 USD/ton (about 164,919 VND/kg). Notably, black and white peppers in the same direction maintained an increase of 50 USD/ton, trading at 12,250 USD/ton and 9,350 USD/ton.
In Vietnam's pepper export market, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l remains at 6,100 - 6,200 USD/ton. In the same direction, ASTA white pepper is offered for sale at 9,000 USD/ton (equivalent to 237,483 VND/kg).

Assessments and forecasts
Compared to January 2026, the current average price is 7,300 VND/kg lower. After about 5 months, domestic pepper prices tend to decrease, when the highest price in April was 142,600 VND/kg. This is also many consecutive weeks that domestic pepper prices have been quiet, maintaining the price range above 140,000 VND/kg.
Supply in farm households is no longer too abundant because the harvest season has basically ended, while many garden owners still tend to keep goods waiting for higher prices.
In the same direction, the international market recorded a quiet trading session in both the black and white pepper segments. Major exporting countries mostly maintained the listed prices from the beginning of the week.
