Domestic pepper prices
As of 11:30 AM today (June 22), domestic pepper prices adjusted up after a week of sharp decline, averaging at 137,500 VND/kg. Currently, key areas are trading in the range of 136,500 - 139,000 VND/kg.
Domestic pepper prices rebounded after a week of sharp decline, except for Dong Nai province:
Gia Lai province traded at 136. 500 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND/kg.
Meanwhile, Dong Nai province still maintains a price of 136,000 VND/kg. This is the lowest price of domestic pepper offered to the market.
Ho Chi Minh City anchored at the price threshold of 137,000 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND/kg.
Dak Lak and Lam Dong are both offering for sale at a purchase price of 139,000 VND/kg, a sharp increase of 1,000 VND/kg.
World pepper price
In the world market, pepper prices are stable in all countries. The two items of black and white pepper in Indonesia are no exception, trading in the range of 7,175 - 9,260 USD/ton (equivalent to 189,707 VND/kg - 244,835 VND/kg).
In the same direction, the Brazilian market sells to the market at a price of 5,850 USD/ton (about 154,674 VND/kg). Notably, black and white Malaysian peppers are still trading at high prices, respectively 12,250 USD/ton and 9,350 USD/ton.
In Vietnam's pepper export market, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l remains at 6,100 - 6,200 USD/ton. In the same direction, ASTA white pepper is offered for sale at 9,000 USD/ton (equivalent to 237,960 VND/kg).

Assessments and forecasts
According to preliminary statistics from the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Plant Association (VPSA), in the first 15 days of June 2026, Vietnam exported 12,998 tons of pepper, with a turnover of 85.4 million USD, an increase of 20% in volume and 20.5% in value compared to the same period in the first 15 days of May 2026.
In the first 5 months of 2026, Vietnam's pepper industry is witnessing strong movements in both output and market adaptation strategies. Despite facing pressure from climate change and global price fluctuations, export indicators still recorded impressive growth, affirming the position of Vietnamese agricultural products on the world spice map.
