Assessments and forecasts
According to IPC, global pepper production in 2026 is estimated at 530 thousand tons, down about 1% compared to the previous year. In the first months of 2026, the world pepper market continued to move in the context that global supply remained low while consumption demand gradually recovered in many major markets.
The decrease this week has caused pepper to officially lose the 140,000 VND/kg mark. According to business circles, after a prolonged period of hot increase, profit-taking pressure and cautious psychology of traders have created a strong correction momentum.
