Assessments and forecasts

According to statistics from the Customs Department, in May 2026, Vietnam exported 25.11 thousand tons of pepper, worth 166.9 million USD, down 18.9% in volume and down 13.9% in value compared to April 2026, down 4.5% in volume and down 8.3% in value compared to the same period in 2025.

The average export price reached 6,647 USD/ton, up 6.1% compared to the previous month and up 4% compared to the same period last year, showing that world pepper prices are still maintained at a high level.

The average export price was 6,478 USD/ton, down 6.2% compared to the same period last year.

The pepper market had a stable trading session, except for a slight decrease in Dong Nai province. The pepper market still needs stronger signals from buying power and import demand from major markets to confirm a sustainable upward trend.
