World pepper prices: Unchanged throughout the region
In the world market, pepper prices remain unchanged in all countries. The Indonesian exchange - one of the most vibrant markets is no exception. These two items are traded in the range of 6,812 - 9,179 USD/ton (equivalent to 179,728 VND/kg - 242,179 VND/kg).
Similarly, the Brazilian market decreased slightly, currently at 6,000 USD/ton (about 158,304 VND/kg). Meanwhile, black and white pepper traded at 12,000 USD/ton and 9,000 USD/ton.
Notably, in Vietnam's pepper export market, the price of black pepper of 500 g/l and 550 g/l maintains a price range of 6,500 - 6,700 USD/ton. The current ASTA white pepper price is at 9,250 USD/ton (equivalent to 244,052 VND/kg).

Perspectives and forecasts
Most farmers have sold in the previous low-price period, while the remaining amount of goods is kept to wait for better prices. Therefore, the amount of pepper circulating on the market is currently not abundant. Each increase in the past week, although not much, is quickly absorbed by the market.
According to the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Plant Association, many large manufacturing countries such as Brazil, Indonesia, India and Vietnam are facing the risk of production decline in the 2025-2026 crop year.
The fact that many countries simultaneously face the risk of production reduction helps pepper prices remain in the highlands, despite short-term adjustments due to seasonal factors and holidays.
